The front page is a blog, and despite what everybody at Gawker/Kinja seem to think, Oppo is a forum. What works on a blog does not work on a forum.

Which is one of the reasons why I rarely visited the FP. Plus, the content's much better on Oppo.

I went on Oppo more after the FP changed to the new layout because I like the old layout.

The FP SUCKS... I don't want Oppo that way.. Oppo was our little haven of bliss, a place that worked (other than the weekly 503 error)

The new format isn't that bad, I rarely go there, because it's too mainstream, yo, and some rookie commenters are annoying.

Yes, you are right. But the format doesn't make me want to spend any time there to see if there's something that might interest me. The only time I hit the FP is when Oppo slows down.

I've been here for 4 or 5 redesigns. The FP and Oppo have always had a similar layout in terms of the commenting system until Kinja rolled around. Now the system is unified.

I know, I've been a lurker for years. But this new design still sucks. i stopped using the FP because of this, and I know it won't be a big loss for the community but I don't think I'll be using Oppo on a daily basis anymore. This new design is a clusterfuck of ill advised changes that don't benefit anyone.. I'm not mad at you or anything, I'm just stating my opinion :)
